Emergency Management Mission Statement

The mission of Norwich Emergency Management is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect citizens and institutions from all hazards by leading and supporting the city in a comprehensive, risk-based emergency management program of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.


Yantic River Flooding Emergency Notification
Emergency Management is compiling a database of property owners and renters in flood prone areas of the Yantic River. Once compiled this information will be entered into a notification software that Emergency Managers will use to notify these properties and occupants of potential or actual flooding.
